• The Lenten Pretzel

As this is the beginning of the 40 days of the denominational Christian period of Lent, it is worthwhile demonstrating what Kepler's Lenten Pretzel really represents.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Johannes_Kepler#/media/File:Kepler_Mars_retrograde.jpg

"Copernicus, by attributing a single annual motion to the Earth, entirely rids the planets of these extremely intricate coils, leading the individual planets into their respective orbits, quite bare and very nearly circular. In the period of time shown
in the diagram, Mars traverses one and the same orbit as many times as the 'garlands' you see looped towards the centre, with one extra, making nine times, while at the same time, the Earth repeats its circle sixteen times " Kepler Astronomia Nova 1609

Mathematicians, following the lead of Sir Isaac Newton, still imagine the diagram is geocentric despite the description of Kepler, which refers the direct/retrograde motions of Mars against the background constellations rather than a stationary and
central Earth as the following diagram has it-

    https://www.yumpu.com/en/document/read/24311178/planetary-pretzels-johns-hopkins-university

This is to help theorists understand what their absolute/relative space and motion represent within the scheme of Newton, where the Earth at the centre was meant to represent relative space and motion while the Sun at the centre is meant to represent
    absolute space and motion-

"For to the Earth planetary motions sometimes appear direct, sometimes stationary, nay, and sometimes retrograde. But from the Sun, they are
    always seen direct..." Newton

From my recent excursion to an external forum, contributors were terrified of actual astronomical history and especially the nuances of technical descriptions. It shouldn't be the case because mathematicians have found their true calling in writing
computer code rather than messing around with solar system or Universal research using flawed precepts.

There will always be those who have no problem dining out of contrived explanations, and they are welcome to it; however, there will also be those who cannot yet see that there is a more productive and creative use of observations ahead.

I quite appreciate what mathematicians, at least the ones I have encountered, along with their cheerleaders are unable to do. I hold out hope that at least one individual with integrity and stature can interpret Kepler's diagram properly notwithstanding
the erroneous treatment that current mathematicians apply to the motion of Mars and the motion of the Earth using the background stars as a gauge-

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Johannes_Kepler#/media/File:Kepler_Mars_retrograde.jpg

Even to this day, they use the looping motion as referenced against the stellar background-

    https://apod.nasa.gov/apod/ap181108.html

Anyone in their right mind can easily understand where those following Newton jumped the tracks at this important juncture in astronomy by assuming Kepler's description uses the Earth at the centre of the diagram, which is not the case-

    https://www.yumpu.com/en/document/read/24311178/planetary-pretzels-johns-hopkins-university

I never downplay the events which lead up to this reset so even if nobody else comprehends the basics, it is hard to imagine people not gaining satisfaction from finally knowing what all that rubbish of absolute/relative time, space, and motion is.

It is remarkable that Kepler's dynamic descriptions of Mars and the Earth over a 16-year period may also contain information about the solar system's motion around the Galactic centre.

The discrepancy between the motion of any given planet travelling with the Sun in our Galactic orbital motion for a period of that orbit while travelling in the opposite direction for another period would introduce a variable orbital speed component
based on the axiom that planets closer to the Sun move faster than those at a distance further from our parent star.

I would not feel it is possible to account for orbital geometries of the planets and variable speeds by way of an enclosed system which excludes Galactic orbital components.

Distorting Kepler's work to place the Earth at the centre of the diagram makes any further consideration impossible-

I wouldn't bother asking how, for goodness sake and even with the greatest courtesy, anybody interested in astronomy could continue to deal with contrived narratives while ignoring productive research.
