The instrument that takes these pictures is not a satellite that orbits the Earth but rather a spacecraft that lives in the L1 Lagrangian Point, 1.5 million kilometers from Earth, on a line between the Sun and Earth. From this remote location it is
constantly presented with an essentially face-on Earth, 24/7/365. Since the axis of rotation of the Earth is not parallel with the axis of rotation of the Sun, the poles of the Earth sometimes point towards the Sun and sometimes point away from the Sun,
and it constantly varies between these 2 extremes. There is nothing that can be done about this and it is just the way it is. You cannot seem to deal with this but most of us have no problem with it.
