That's a non-sequitur. Perhaps those few women and minorities who are now
doing well in STEM have been, due to their own pressing economic conditions, been pursuing more lucrative careers in the private sector. Or even the defense sector.

While male Caucasians have the economic room to have the luxury of getting
less pay for working on something they believe in.

If you work at it, you can find a way to avoid wrongthink!

Salaries are one thing, profit sharing, stock options etc....another!
No sense to make high salaries, if it's taxed to death!
My co-worker neighbor, an Intel engineer, was getting $80-90K in profit sharing a year, which he reinvested some of it into the company.

We all live in this moment in time on this vibrant biosphere that is turning and travelling around the Sun and any other motion there is yet given the ability to discuss and consider all those things which make individual life possible, contributors
would choose to hate someone else and openly detest their existence. Raising the standard of consideration on any topic is much more an individual achievement than exercising anger as a useless waste of energy that only creates more of the same in terms
of reactions, insults and things like that. That is the price for following academic bandwagons which inspire nothing and are self-serving while society, and especially students, pay the price for these dead-end doctrines.

As Rich is nothing but a giant bag of toxic gas, then I guess "letting
off steam" is what he needs. Except there will be nothing left if he
    lets it all out.

The male/female ratio in the group picture looks like 19 to 1.

That isn't far off from the observed ratio in many other technical fields.

It is probably similar to what is found in amateur astronomy clubs.
