Apparently so. Although when they happened in human history, before

I'd kind of like to see the effect of dead cellphone systems on the all people who value the
phones more than their lives. That part of it might be amusing.
As for the C14, I don't think a beta-emitter would pose much of a threat, depending on how much was produced.
I'd have figured there would still be considerable amounts of C14 in the air and soil, given it's half life of 6k years.
