ape+human evolution in short

From [email protected]@21:1/5 to All on Tue Aug 1 11:03:38 2023

Homo (humans) & Pan (bonobos+chimps) split 6 or 5 mill.yrs ago:
• wading+climbing+arm-hanging Mio-Pliocene hominoids were already vertical=bipedal (aquarboreal = aqua+arbor): gibbons & humans still are, but great apes evolved from aquarboreal into predom.knuckle-/fist-walkers

• wading+diving early-Pleistocene Homo, e.g. H.erectus cs https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/21741646/
• wading-->walking late-Pleistocene Homo https://www.gondwanatalks.com/l/the-waterside-hypothesis-wading-led-to-upright-walking-in-early-humans/
