Like I've pointed out: They are consistent! Everything they've said is about pushing the "Human Ancestor" notion, even though they now admit that
it's *Way* younger than it would have to be.

I've concluded a long time ago that they're lying. Either they did find DNA -- and why wouldn't they? -- and it's too close to some "Missing" sub Saharan ancestor for comfort (got to head of the "Really dumb African ancestors"
talk else racism might be invented) -- or they just started the bullshit for the
sake of Out of Africa purity and now have to keep it going, or forever discredit themselves and their profession.

If this was Homo, in Africa less than 300k years ago, isn't this a hell of an argument in favor of OUT OF ASIA? I mean, it's *Way* more primitive than anything in Europe or Asia and...

Oops. I just told them what to invent next: Something even more primitive
in Europe that's the same age or younger...

    Brace for it.

What gets me is that there could even be a controversy over what season
    the asteroid struck.

I mean, THAT was what it's all about? "Getting the scoop" on what season it was?

Interesting that Berger claimed there were no fossil bones but Homo naledi, now he claims there are thousands of bones.
Interesting that Berger claimed they were intentionally buried, now he claims folks lived, cooked and ate there.

Lots of faked science these days. Trace the money & notoriety, find the fake.

Still waiting for the announcement on the hang gliders.

It would be stupid to claim that Naledi had airplanes. They had to be gliders.

    Burnt bones, no cutmarked bones.
Large amount of firewood carried through extremely tight corridors? Why not have a campfire at the surface? Rainy season getaway?

I'm beginning to wonder if maybe Naledi didn't invent eyeglasses or sewing machines.

Antelopes. You forgot the antelopes. They were carrying not just their fuel wood but antelopes. "But no visible stone tools at all."

So they were crawling through what he describes as a deadly dangerous cave system, dragging kindling & dead antelope (and other animals), much of the evidence for which they had been literally dragging themselves over & under, completely unseen, for more than half a decade.

    It's official: Naledi breathed smoke!
