Afrocentrism
Many paleo-anthropologists are preoccupied with "African origins".
But "out of Africa" ideas are often irrelevant. Early-Pleistocene Homo was coastal, from Java to Africa & Europe, google e.g. "shell engravings Joordens Munro". Whether early Homo lived at the African or at the Arabian (out of Africa!) side of the Red
Sea is very unimportant.
