Were we more aquatic than we thought?
In any case, only incredible imbeciles think their ancestors ran after antelopes over the African plains.

Some commonality in behavioral/cognitive traits should be expected.

They're mammals, we're mammals, we share a common origins, we have brains,
they have brains, Omega-3s are going to impact the, physiologically, pretty much
the same way they do us...

Being true aquatic mammals they can't build fires and shape rocks into tools but, they would be under selective pressures, just like any other living organism,
and with the same building blocks to work with, we would expect any "Human Like" development that might benefit them to take a similar form.

So, not running or manipulating object but similar "Solutions" to social complexity?

I'm sure we should be able to map this out, make predictions and then go hunt for them: How do DHA/EPA effect the human brain and what if any of those changes can we expect to see in aquatic mammals?

I think we already see one clear example: Larger brains!

Seafood is brain food, Omega-3s fuel larger brains, Aquatic Ape explains our brain grown and in Dolphins, which survive entirely on seafood, we see even larger brains!

So one prediction of aquatic ape -- aquatic mammals should show increased
brain size -- holds true in the case of dolphins.

    No.

Are gibbons obligate bipeds? Yes, mostly arboreal.

Do gibbons have long limbs? Yes.

Do gibbons have an evaporative cooling system? Not advantageous within forest canopy.

Do gibbons have mechanisms for storing and releasing elastic energy via
the ankle and hip? Yes, long achilles, like humans.

Do gibbons primarily use binocular vision? Yes, despite being frugivores.

Do gibbons have a sense of smell? Yes, weaker than terrestrials.

Do gibbons believe in aquatic apes? No.
