    Apes differ dratically from OWMs:
    - very wide pelvis, thorax, sternum:
    legs & arms more laterally than ventrally directed,
    scapulas dorsal rather than lateral,
    - much larger body (secondariy reduced in hylobatids),
    - centrally-placed spine:
    less lumbar vertebrae,
    more sacral vertebrae = sacralisation,
    less coccygal = external tail loss.
