    Dear One and All

Yesterday we held a meeting in honour of Peter Rhys-Evans, who tragically passed away on 3rd June.

Peter was an Ear-Nose-Throat specialist and from months ago had been scheduled to talk about his favourite subjects, "surfer's ear" (external auditory exostoces) and the paranasal sinuses.

After deep consideration, rather than cancelling the event, we decided to hold the meeting in his honour and play a few recorded videos of him talking about his interests. I am sure he would have wanted us to discuss the peculiar aspects of the human ear
& nose anatomy he knew so well. So that is what we tried to do.

In addition to making a great contribution to his specialist field of medicine, both through hands-on innovations & a huge academic contribution, Peter founded the Oracle Cancer Trust (through whom we heard about his passing away) and still found time to
be an active proponents of Waterside Hypotheses / Aquatic Theories for 30 years.

Perhaps most important of all though, Peter will always be remembered as a really lovely man.
