I have a Taiwanese KO version of the same saw and have the same issue. I will attempt the fix mentioned above and try to report back...In a critical application where the blade height needs to stay fixed, I have just use painters tape across the wheel
and to the saw body/housing to immobilize it...a cheap but effective temporary means.
