I much rather spend money on a quality product/tool,that will last
years. what point is there in buying a 99 cent screwdriver and next
week having to go buy another and another? not to mention the time,
gas, aggravation as well. I've still got a pr. of sidecutters I bought 30+years ago. I did pay more than 25 dollars for them, but,I can grab
them right now and cut either small wires or a 16penny nail. I suppose
it is all in what one a)wants and b) what we can afford at the time.
thanks & god bless
There's a time and place for cheap tools, usually when you're using them
for something other than what was intended. Screwdrivers make great
punches, but if you use my good ones for that I'll punch you!
I hate using "beater" screwdrivers to turn screws. The heads are wear
parts and should be replaced when worn. Ever notice how 1" screwdriver
bits come in 25 packs? Once they start showing signs of wear, replace
them.
