As a neutral it should be a good series. The games are in the
middle of the night for me though, so I won't get to see
many/any of the games live. Possibly Game 5 as it's a Saturday
night.
I think Florida will be tough to beat, they're very strong,
physical and rough! It would be nice to see Edmonton win
it and Connor McDavid get his hands on the Stanley Cup though.

The Oilers are not the same Oilers that lost to the Panthers
last year. Their depth is huge and they are running on all
eight cylinders. i think Florida is in for a huge fight
unlike the Hurricanes.

A good OT win for the Oilers in game one. I just watched the
highlights this morning. What a game!

They played really well and sent a message to the Panthers, we
are not backing down.
i appreciate the 6pm start, the OT didn't keep me up late :)

The thing is, after that great first period for the Oilers the
Panthers didn't back down either. That's what made it so great
to watch... two teams going for it and not letting a goal
against them change their attitude or get them down. Both teams
just kept coming.

Plan for more OT... I reckon this series is going to go all the
way.

Not if the Spoilers collapse like they just did in the next
couple of games. Then it'll be game over.
Pick your fights. If you can't win them, play hockey.

I dunno, Edmonton won the battle of penalty minutes! They
didn't play much hockey though, the big names went AWOL
when it mattered. I really wasn't expecting that performance
from them. BUT... after that display the Oilers will surely go
full throttle in game 4 and try to stay in touch in the series.
They can't play that bad again!

Looks like young Mr Yadallee is going to need to some
serious sessions at training camp to get fit for next
season if he wants to be a junior Oiler!

Looks like neither the defense or Pickard are good enough.
McDavid needs to step it up too or it's gone again for him.

Florida win the series 4-2.
Grumpy Maurice is on his way to creating the next NHL dynasty. He
doesn't want to shake hands on the ice as it's all about the players,
then he parades the SC around the ice like he was playing in the game.
Buttman is delighted, as the sunny south is where the future of the NHL
lies. Sunshine and tax breaks. Perfect for hockey.
