As you can't watch a hockey game these days without gambling and betting >sites being rammed down your throat i thought it was time we talked
Stanley Cup odds. As for some reason the FanDuel sports-book have the
Alberta Spoilers as the 8/1 favourites to lift the Stanley Cup in 2025.
Their top ten, as of today, is as follows:
Edmonton Oilers +800
Dallas Stars +950
Florida Panthers +1100
New York Rangers +1100
New Jersey Devils +1300
Toronto Maple Leafs +1300
Carolina Hurricanes +1300
Colorado Avalanche +1300
Vegas Golden Knights +1400
Tampa Bay Lightning +1800
I'll also throw in the Canucks odds even though we all know they haven't
got a hope.
Vancouver Canucks +2100
Do people think the odds are realistic based on what we've seen so far,
also if we had C$100 where would we be putting it ?
I'm still tipping the Penguins although they are looking like a poor
bet. It is probably just as well I don't have a spare $100 to throw on
them as it'd only be wasted.
We will revisit this list in a few months time to see how close FanDuel
got with their mathematical probabilities.

The only way someone from AB is going to see the Stanley cup is if they
take a flight from YEG to Miami !

I'd say if Buttman could have his way he'd never let Lord Stanley cross
the international boundary ever again.
