Unless they go to games regularly most hockey fans are only casual fans
during the regular-season. They only get excited when the post-season
arrives, if their hockey club makes it to the play-offs. The business
end of the season is where it all happens.

This place is also very quiet because usenet has become a niche part of
the internet. Passionate hockey fans now mainly inhabit Facebook, Reddit
& Youtube. Usenet is dying and people are letting it die.
