• Thoughts of a spy on Trump's crimes in respect of Top Secret materials.

    I'll just leave these here:

The legal process does not fix the absolute damage done to our national security. It is going to take decades (if ever) to reconstitute the
sources and methods that were compromised - and they wont be fixed by convictions.

This is the least popular cable news point.

President Trump had the ultimate authority to declassify anything and
use intelligence how and where he saw fit. It is an authority that
ended on Jan 20 and does not extend past then. He had no business with classified docs one second past him leaving office.

Presidents have broad authority by design when it comes to
intelligence. That authority goes away when they leave office, then he
is just a plain old American citizens with no more right to access our
    secrets than you or I.

Maybe it doesnt mean shit to some. But I risked my life for this
country in the belief that people I didnt know or see, would protect
my life and my identity. Even today there are things about what I did
and saw that remain secret, and will for a long time. Dont normalize
    this

What I did wasnt a team effort, I was alone. If I failed? The mission
failed. Everyone else could be replaced, I couldnt. I was 28 when I
started. Weight of the world on my shoulders alone. Faith in the men
and women who I worked with. Who sat in safety, while I didnt.

Anyway I dont say of this bc of ego. As with much these days, its
easy to dehumanize things - intel is no different. People risk their
lives for this, the value isnt just paper - its their actual life.

Fyi, I was operational the last time we had a Republican President. I
didnt worry that he would be this cavalier with our secrets, even as I disagreed with his policies. This is a betrayal.

The handling of classified information is not a partisan issue. It is a national security issue. Pass it on.
