This can easily get out of control with the non existent
    administration in the White House.

Don't make it that easy. Like Biden was the best he had ever seen in the
spring of 2024 (MSNBC's Joe Scarborough).

I don't think MAGA cares about or wants peace.  This idea Trump is a
peace president was just myth building and to differentiate him from neocons.  All it will take is some exaggerated patriotism, masculinity tropes or bogus religious dogma to justify war and they'll be 100% on board.  It'll be "facts on the ground changed", as RahimAsif used to say after another failed tennis prediction.

    Yeah...Rahimasif & facts on the ground. :)))

I've been curious on Trump's anti-war stance & why is it so? Since it
really does not fit his persona.

I can come up with few explanations quickly...

    1. Maybe because he has no belief in anything, so there's no need for
war, allies can be abandoned etc. He simply hasn't had any conflict he
    believes in.

    2. Some genius political stunt & election promises.

    3. He indeed is Putin's puppet through and through, and submissive USA
is thus always better for Kremlin.

    4. It's the economy, fool. He just doesn't care for war, it's all about
economy & transactional policy. If he doesn't make money off it - not interested.

Then again, the Israel-Iran war is kinda Trump's war... I believe he greenlighted it well in advance. US sent defence systems against Shaheed
drones to the Middle East some time ago, which were originally earmarked
    for Ukraine, according to Zelensky.

    But I don't believe for a second that he's a die hard pacifist &
believes in sacred human life or such. When he says that he wants
Ukraine war to end to save human lives... nah, that's not the real reason.

    5. Maybe he thinks it's his "legacy"... 'Had the greatest economy ever,
waged no wars'. Well, that doesn't sound so bad.

is called "The art of the deal".He thinks he is a genius and that he is a master of negotiation and conflict resolution and based on this he blames any conflict including wars on the incompetent and low IQ people handing the matter. This is when he steps
in believing he is the sent genius by God that can master a deal to solve everything. Everything he does is a reflection of his belief that he can solve everything by his exceptional abilities to make deals. So most of the big issues we see from this

    Well said.

If he had been a regular dude, at 79 being retired the reality would have hit him. He would not believe he's special.

But the fact of mere coincidence that he's a self-made billionaire, self made US president and one of the most powerful people in history of mankind really does foster his delusional thinking about being exceptional man with great skills.

I'd go with #5, with some modifications.

You're right, in my opinion. He doesn't really care about any
conflicts in terms of moral relevance. It is, if anything, purely
transactional: what *might* her get out of it?

So he essentially panders to power, all the time fully aware that with
the possible exception of China, the US has the biggest club. He
realizes that using the club in open struggle will basically wreck
*everything*, but he likes to make sure that everyone knows: a) he has
the club; and b) he is not predictable.

    Anyway, it's what I think...

I've always thought it's just an extension of the "Tea Party" movement
that really became most of MAGA.  Of course the Tea Party movement was famously opposed to the military interventionist policies of the Bush
era neocons.  So, I think he's just playing to his base here.  He knows they'll follow him into a war if he throws out some patriotic or
    religious symbology to support it.

That's a good point, following Tea Party thesis on war...
