Funny guy. ;)
He's just trying to generate interest in modern game, doing a pretty
good job : )
And more importantly, he's a troll.
He's walked back a bit from that comment saying Nadal would beat them
most of the time at FO lol
Alcaraz would have a good chance v peak Rafa given his variety, but
Sinner would be toast. Rafa would give him high bouncing balls to his
bh and eat him up in routine 4 setters. Sinner looks great hitting
balls that come in a certain range, Rafa would disrupt that greatly and
make him look awkward.
Nah. Alkie made like 70-80 UEs. Sinner had match points against him.
Alkie also had around 50% 1st serve percentage... That means Rafa would
have killed him on 2nd serves & won in straights. Perhaps even Almagro numbers...
Nadal was same age as Alcaraz at RG 2008. Federer said then that Rafa
can't be beaten when playing like that.
Frankly I don't think they'd beat Rafa at his best on any surface... US/Wimbledon 2010 level. Maybe Alkie at Wimbledon if playing perfect.
Watched yesterday Nadal vs Kyrgios highlights at Beijing 2017, hard
court. Rafa played higher level than Sinner/Alcaraz on Sunday.
What I find interesting debate is whether Sinner is better than Murray
at his best. It's a close call. I think probably something between
Murray & Djokovic...
I think Alkie may well win over 20 slams.
