    This is going to be very interesting and indicative of how, and to
    what degree, Trump will use force during his term.

    This does not speak to the legitimacy of the actions--that's
    separate--just his willingness to use police/military force.

    If his use succeeds in LA--by "succeed" I mean that the protests are substantially reduced as a result of the force and ICE actions
    continue--I think we'll see a tendency to use it more often.

    To put this into some kind of perspective, US presidents called out
    the National Guard for purposes of enforcing school integration orders
    under Eisenhower, Kennedy, and Johnson. Eisenhower also brought in
    elements of the regular army under the Insurrection Act, but that
    wouldn't apply here.

    Attacking federal property is insurrection. Doesn't matter how innocent
    it is. That's the Nancy Pelosi rule.

    I don't understand how these anti-ICE riots happened. I mean yeah, I found Iceberg pretty offensive,
    but for LA to explode in riots seems like an overreaction to an internet troll.
