Biden called him a russian spy accused him of treason as well and called
him insurrectionist etc.
He's certainly not a nice person and he was saying much worse things
about Trump.

Trump has no class. Probably hasn't done a single act of kindness in his >while life.
He's transactional, and that's a bad way to live. Doesn't help others unless there's something in it for him.

Here's an example of something Trump that immediately caught my attention...Back when he was slapping Zlenskyy around, before it became clear that Putin was going to extract the maximum from the situation--and why would he not?--Trump told Zelenskyysomething like..."You need to offer a concession. Putin has already offered a concession by allowing you to keep your country."That was extremely brutal, and it was real politik. It appears that Putin can extend the war long enough to take if not Ukraine,

conclusion that for me, at least--and by God, for most everyone else,
if they'd care to admit it--the default response is transactional,
and the transaction can be either a debit or a credit. So you have
transactions where you expect some form of gain, and others where you
preform the transaction in the hope that it won't *cost* you too
much.Further, positive gain transactions are primarily for strangers,
while negative transactions are mostly for friends/family, or on rare
occasions, simply to signal virtue so others, or to feel better about
one's self.
In short, everyone should simply admit they hate Trump for being an
honest person. An unusually honest person for the culture he lives in.
You Sawfish had an argument about that with jdeluise who didnt

I wussed out and gave up.
And ultimately those people are even more angry at Trump when they see
he's being rewarded and not disparaged, by the people for such honesty.

I agree with you about Trump. But something I've often
pondered... are *all* of our actions transactional at some level?
eg. do people truly do altruistic things for no self gain? Or do
they do them to feel good about themselves, to gain favor from the
party who benefits, or to raise their standings with others who
value altruism, etc? I'm not really sure... but I lean towards
the idea that all (or the VAST majority) of our actions are in
fact transactional.

Which is also untrue. Probably came from Putin's lips to Trump's ear.
The reality is it has been Ukraine's resolve and their ingenuity on the battlefield, along with NATO's military aid and the "cancellation" of Russia's international trade economy.
That was extremely brutal, and it was real politik. It appears that
Putin can extend the war long enough to take if not Ukraine, then at
least force new leadership.
Meanwhile, Ukraine just decimated a third of Russia's bomber capacity... billions of dollars of Russian air power, after previously crippling
Russia's Navy and the glorious convoy to Kiev. All with Ukrainian
developed weaponry. But it's true, Ukraine will struggle mightily if
its allies abandon it.

Back when he was slapping Zlenskyy around, before it became clear that

"You need to offer a concession. Putin has already offered a
concession by allowing you to keep your country."
That was extremely brutal, and it was real politik.
Real politik is that Putin can't make such concessions. And isn't making
any. Putin is in fact demanding Ukraine hand over land that Russia has
not been able to take. Even with the help of North Korean soldiers.
Putin needs the "peace process" to make Ukraine surrender.
What Trump really means is that Zelenskyi is allowed to keep his country
if Trump says so. That is real politik. Zelenskyi is playing that game.
Trump is a weakling in shoes too big for him. He can spin on his heels
any time.
But just imagine thinking that Putin is actually "allowing" Ukraine to have their country right now. Just goes to show how Trump and MAGA have corrupted the minds of otherwise intelligent people here in the US.
