Biden called him a russian spy accused him of treason as well and called him insurrectionist etc.

He's certainly not a nice person and he was saying much worse things about Trump.

Yeah but it's their own fault, they're like ostriches with their heads in sand.

At least when it comes to Russia.

Russia sees all of Ukraine like hm...something between Canada and Confederacy for you or those incorporated territories in the western frontier during 19th century.

If it behaves it may exist, but if necessary or needed, wiping it in total is not out the question.

(By wiping I mean the entity, not the people, lol, the people are their own).

So yeah Trump is pretty much honest and reasonable here. He recognizes it's a concession from Russia's part at this moment. They basically ask nothing new and definitely they're not sending maximalist demands.

To end this war, russian security demands that were laid out before the war, must be met. Those that Biden refused.

    https://www.cnbc.com/2021/12/08/biden-didnt-accept-putins-red-line-on-ukraine-what-it-means.html

And of course, the blood of Russians will be paid by returning some parts of their borderlands into the state.

There's absolutely no way and no sense that you could start a war with Russia and end it with same borders. Slap Mike Tyson and keep all of your teeth? Not happening.

    That would be absurd, no?

Putin needs the "peace process" to make Ukraine surrender.

I agree with you about Trump. But something I've often
pondered... are *all* of our actions transactional at some level?
eg. do people truly do altruistic things for no self gain? Or do
they do them to feel good about themselves, to gain favor from the
party who benefits, or to raise their standings with others who
value altruism, etc? I'm not really sure... but I lean towards
the idea that all (or the VAST majority) of our actions are in
    fact transactional.

Well, enlightened self interest is a fine thing IMO. GWB did a lot to combat AIDS in Africa.

But Trump is not enlightened; just self interested.

Which is also untrue.  Probably came from Putin's lips to Trump's ear.

The reality is it has been Ukraine's resolve and their ingenuity on the battlefield, along with NATO's military aid and the "cancellation" of Russia's international trade economy.

That was extremely brutal, and it was real politik. It appears that
Putin can extend the war long enough to take if not Ukraine, then at
    least force new leadership.

Meanwhile, Ukraine just decimated a third of Russia's bomber capacity... billions of dollars of Russian air power, after previously crippling
Russia's Navy and the glorious convoy to Kiev.  All with Ukrainian
developed weaponry.  But it's true, Ukraine will struggle mightily if
    its allies abandon it.

Ukraine used at least US made Javelins & Turkish Bayraktars.

    Agree on other points.
