If it's on HC, Sinner would be 55-60% favorite, but on clay I
think I'd give Sinner 51-52% chance and wouldn't be surprised if
Carlos played his best match to beat him.

    Your thoughts?

I think Sinner is refreshed and focused. I predict that Sinner wins
    something like 6-7, 6-2, 6-3.

It will be very close and now I think that Sinner will lack some
    confidence against Carlos tomorrow.

Perhaps. In the meantime, could you improve your newsreader? Very

Do you want me to trim the quoted text a little? For me the order
of replies and who is replying who is viewable in my reader and
is maintained in my posts. Also, as long as I can determine the
new text in the message, I am good. The one thing that is done
badly is how the the post I am replying to gets entirely enclosed
    in the new message.

Have it stop enclosing the previous messages would be nice. :)

You can make an argument for either guy winning so def no betting on
this one. I think Carlos's very best game beats Sinner on all surfaces,
but who knows if he can summon it at will? Given it's clay I have to go
with Carlos. He'll have more time to play his shots and Sinner can't
hurt him as much as he can on faster surfaces. Carlos should be able to
get to everything and use his heavy groundies to punch holes through
Sinner's defense. Sinner doesn't have a great clay record, only won 1
title and that was a few years ago. If Carlos doesn't play better than
he has so far this year Sinner wins, so will still require his best game.

Looking more broadly if Sinner can win FO I think he'll be a good chance
to sweep the calendar slam. Laver and Budge, the only 2 guys that have
won it are also red heads. Having said that I have Carlos as fave for
both FO and Wimbledon at this point, but not by a huge margin over
Sinner. Should be an interesting 4 months up to USO.

Hard to see Sinner beating Alkie at RG *AND* SW19...

    Where is Djokovic?

I never thought Sinner would fold up shop like he did in the second
round. Totally fell apart after losing set points.

Carlos' level went even higher in the second set and I guess it
was too much for Sinner and it drained him mentally.

Would make a lot of sense. Maybe he still isn't 100% mentally "match
    tough" after his suspension.
