• RG 2024: Alcaraz in a great form?!?

From Kalevi Kolttonen@21:1/5 to All on Sun May 26 15:27:22 2024
    Hello!

First of all, I did not see the match, but
judging by the scoreline alone, Alcaraz is in
    a great form.

He just beat JJ Wolf 6-1, 6-2, 6-1. Did
anyone see the match? Was Wolf awful or
Alcaraz great? I suspect the latter. I
expected a closer match, but Alcaraz just
    killed it today!

PS. I watched Mochizuki vs Hurkacz starting
after the sets were 2-1 to Mochizuki. After
that Hurkacz took the fourth set 6-0 in only
17 minutes. At 2-5 Mochizuki serving one
break behind, the rain delay came and the
    match is currently suspended.

I don't understand how Mochizuki won two sets
against Hurkacz. The fourth set was absolutely
horrible tennis! I think 4-0 came with Mochizuki
losing *all the games* to love. The japanese
appears to be quite a terrible player: Slow,
weak groundstrokes and his serve is awful, too.

    br,
    KK

He is a qualifier, those are always dangerous.

They enter the tournament on a 3 match winning streak, they're familiar with conditions and full of confidence.

Carlos was simply better, a lot better. Better serve, forehand, you name it.

Wolf lost in qualifying to a nobody called J De Jong 61 62

Wolf is in terrible form. He lost badly in qualifying, got in as lucky
    loser.
