can he keep up this insane physical level? The guy in this video is a huge Novak fan and he can't believe Carlos can play this way (ffw to 6 minute mark). He talks about Carlos outrunning a ball that his behind him, he somehow chaes it down like the
flash, and gets in front of it to play the ball back. We see this from players chasing lobs down, but not from penetrating rallies. I doubt he'll be able to play with this level of explosiveness for more than another year or 2 so hope to see more of it.

Agree, Alcaraz is so explosive and light footed it's impressive. Out of this world.
However as you say, these won't last. And I'm not talking about his longevity, this is not what Nadal sceptics also claimed ie that he won't last yet he did. Alcaraz too may be successful well into his late 30s, but his explosiveness simply can't last.
You lose that as you age. Some players are simply breathtaking in their first appearance, and visibly slower in later age, I think Becker was the guy.
However Alcaraz imo has the best ever forehand drop shot.
No one's shot is that perfect.
Alcaraz forehand drop shot and perhaps Sampras' serve as #2?
Of course, serve is more important. But in terms of sheer excellence...?
