I had been using eternal september, which is free, but re-subscribed to
XLNed yesterday. XLNed is a bit more reliable and flexible and easier to
set up.

https://www.xlned.com/en This cost me $29.16 US for one year. It is the
XL Lite package, which is quite adequate for usenet social groups use. I
see by my records that I've used them on and off since 2019.
Eternal September is reliable. I do not know what you
mean by "flexible" and "easier to set up". Can you
explain?
Eternal September was super easy to set up when I joined.
I guess you just had to register via their website and
that was it.
The only downside I have come across is that the expiration
time of messages is pretty short, but since the service
is free, I really cannot complain. Someone must pay for
the storage space and it is not me.
Well, Eternal September also does not have binaries
groups so if you want them, you must go elsewhere.
