The lead in states that Youngkin halted plans for this project when in fact they were never selected. This is the kind of reporting the MSM resorts to.. Just say they took the state out of the running but don't report it like it was a done deal where
everyone was sitting around a table waiting to sign when a Kramer like Youngkin burst in and canceled the deal. They just can't tell the truth because they fear it won't influence readers they way they want it to. Just give us the facts and let us
decide.
This is a gross misrepresentation of the facts in the lead in. There were no plans.
'Gov. Glenn Youngkin’s decision to halt plans for a $3.5 billion Ford Motor Co. battery plant over his concerns about Chinese influence cost one of the poorest areas of Virginia a reported 2,500 jobs with potential for more'
Much further down... the truth
'The Governor’s decision to pull Virginia out of the competition for the new Ford facility puts the Commonwealth at a severe disadvantage'
'the plant proposal never reached a final discussion stage'
