    I do believe you're right. A good question is "why?" I suspect it has something to do with who controls distribution and radio. There used to be hundreds of actual record companies that made actual records. Round things, that had to be physically moved.
    Promotion men, with envelopes full of "incentives".

    I'd like to see that Grammy viewership chart pre 2012. Strange that it would drop suddenly, then stay level for about 5 years, then have another significant drop & stay level for 3 years, and then once again have a significant drop. I would have
    expected it to be more gradual and less step change.

    Sat in Dunkin' Donuts yesterday where they were playing some new music.
    I swear every song sounded the same, had the same melody that never
    varied more than a half-octave and had the same beat. I couldn't tell
    when one song ended and the next started.

    Same with the new "bro country", by the way.
