Yep, Spectrum got bit for more fees by Disney, and all Disney
channels we
nt dark at 5 Pacific last night.
I only wish that I had more options for internet than Spectrum. I
really don't. And frankly, the cable/phone/internet package isn't
that much more than internet alone. Plus, the internet flakes out constantly, meaning that cable is better for continuously watching
games than streaming.
Sling is pretty good, but you'll need to combine the orange and blue
packages for best coverage at around $60 and some change per month. As
you say, need good Internet service.
Can you get any OTA channels?
I'm 60 miles in either direction from two major broadcasting tower sites
with multiple transmitters. Depending on where I move the antenna in
the attic, in one direction I get between 68 and 84 channels via
antenna (12-20 will be non-Eng). In the other, I average around 48 to
70 (9-16 will be non-Eng). I get about half the NFL games and about the
same of regional college games OTA. If you have a Roku, you can get
some random college broadcasts on there as well.
Don't laugh, this is what I'm using, or similar.

You will lose approx 20+% of any available signal strength running one
of these in the attic. They work better outside but an owl (Or any big
bird) landing on it will knock it out of alignment or break off a rotor.
I'm going to replace it with a more durable antenna and amp, but
will need to run a ground.
