I don't know if any of the lads from the Jake Kane fed RAW are still about the place. Would be nice if they were. I think we can sum up my skills in e-wrestling by noting that my best invention ever was a commentator. I was lucky to know how to use
RealProducer (yes it was *that* long ago) and so Sean O'Brien was born in all his faux-Irish glory :) We did recorded promos and shows - I even got a baking tray to "Foley Studio Sound" matches but quickly realised it was a non-starter. The idea was to
mimmick, in radio form anyway, the old All-American Wrestling show from way back when that Mean Gene and Booby Heenan did. We did OOC conversations with Neil McDougall recorded (very crappily) over MSN nearly a decade before anyone had even heard of
PodCastOne.com! We really did try to make the text jump off the screen.

Imagine what you could do in the modern era. It wouldn't be televisual - that would destroy the mystique IMHO - but I know you could do more than a .wav or .ram file these days :)

It was a great time to be involved in something so fun. Maybe it was something that had its epoch and then was wrapped up but I know I won't forget the days of trying to say "Welcome to Chatanooga, Tennesee" in a put-on Irish accent to bring SOB (A total
accident that his match tag initials were that, I promise! What a happy accident though :P) to life.

But a nice time when I could sit in the computer lab or at home with Oliver Kopp's TNM and generate fantasy matches - some of which came to being and some that never could. Don't know that anyone would have the time or do something so basic in the
Twitter/Facebook age but I'll always look back fondly.
