I can see three problems here...

1. It's a dumb name

2. The plural of Elk is Elk, not Elks, unless they're talking about

the fraternal

organization*

3. I don't think the animal is very representative of Edmonton. How

often are elk seen

there?

My take is that the new logo is nothing short of appalling.

As I understand it all the finalist names started with the letter E -
if the intent was not to retain the familiar green and gold "EE" in an
oval what WAS it?

Because for sure the new logo completely sucks.
