    Newscastle is a surprise. Can they keep it up? Eddie Howe surely
    deserves some credit, and the extra cash can't hurt. They and arsenal
    must be messing up a lot of people's EPL SPC predictions so far.

    Tomorrow can Chelsea get out the funk?

    Liverpool on the other hand are a disappontment. Brentford were very
    brave, could have had even more goals, but Liverpool basically let
    them play for the entire first half. The 3-1 nightcap was very
    deserved for Brentford (I remember them against Cambridge Utd in
    League Two!). Hard to see how Liverpool are going to challenge,
    especially with Arsenal seemingly not dropping points. Long way to go
    though.

    cup ? I only count 4 real ones - FA Cup, League Cup, CL and League.

    What am I missing in your counting methods ?
    Is there not an inconsistency ?

    Fine, fine. I missed one trophy for Chelsea and Super Cups shouldn't count. So updated numbers are Liverpool 5 and Chelsea 3.

    Fine, fine. I missed one trophy for Chelsea and Super Cups shouldn't count. So updated numbers are Liverpool 5 and Chelsea 3.

    Still not getting 5 for Liverpool - am I missing something ? (CL 2019,
    EPL 2020, League Cup and FA cup 2022). Unless you count the Club World Championship (which, based on previous arguments you have made is rather
    cheeky of you), in which case it is Liverpool 5 Chelsea 4.

    Would be interested in your views (see other thread) on what a major
    trophy is, and your definition of major vs. minor.

    Chelsea FC have won the UEFA Champions League, Europa League and FA Cup
    in the last five seasons, so that's three proper trophies.

    They also won two Mickey Mouse trophies... the FIFA Club World Cup
    and UEFA Super Cup. And unlike some here, I don't count them as proper
    trophies as you can only play in those two tournaments by winning the
    Champions League... so that for me is where the competition is.
