Group E:
Slovakia - Romania
Ukraine - Belgium
Group E standings:
1st Romania 3pts + 1 GD
2nd Belgium 3pts +1 GD
3rd Slovakia 3pts 0 GD
4th Ukraine 3pts -2 GD
Everything to play for!
Head to heads to keep an eye on in the event teams finish on the same
points:
Romania beat Ukraine
Slovakia beat Belgium
Belgium beat Romania
Ukraine beat Slovakia
Group F
Portugal - Georgia
Czechia - Turkey
1st Portugal 6pts +4 GD
2nd Turkey 3pts -1 GD
3rd Czechia 1pt -1 GD
4th Georgia 1pt -2GD
The outlook:
Portugal have already won the group and can afford to field a reserve
team.
Turkey would guarantee second place with a draw by virtue of their
better head to head than Georgia. A two goal defeat would mean Turkey
advance as a third place side ahead of Hungary on goals scored.
Czech Republic need a win to qualify. No other result will do.
Georgia can finish second if they beat Portugal, Czechia beats Turkey
and they manage to come out with a better goal difference than Czechia.

Welcome to this broadcast of Uruguay v Ukraine from Euro 2024! By
Uruguay, I of course mean Belgium, who have turned up kitted out in a
sky blue kit with white collar and trim which La Celeste would be proud
of!

37 minutes, Razvan Marin penalty equalises for Romania.
Back to Romania 1st, Belgium 2nd.

(Sorry, this wasn't here when I started my message. I'll repost it
here.)
1 - 1 at half time.
The video ref correctly gave us a penalty. This definitely never would
have happened before. The ref would have played it safe and called a
foul at the edge of the box.
But I hve to wonder, do the slovakians know that a draw sees them
through ? I didn't expect them to be so aggressive. If they want to
actually play they risk a lot. Our team seems to be more than capable
to send them home.Let's see how the second half will look like, I'd
expect things to calm down.
Belgium weren't able to beat Ukraine and it ended
in a goalless draw.

Ukraine finishing their group with four points and going home
seems a bit harsh...
As expected, no team wanted to risk much. Both had a few half chances,
in the end it was 1 - 1 and everybody was happy.

All 4 teams finishing level on 4 points is very strange.
Somebody has to go home. And Ukraine probably actually were
the weakest team.

Second yellow for Antonin Barak. Ouch for CZE

It's pretty chippy in CZE-TUR, and I would not be surprised if there
were more red cards in this one.
As I type, Jurasek misses a 1v1. Good job by the keeper. TUR hasn't done
much with their one-man advantage, and the Czechs look threatening on
every set piece. They are huge (what was that about average heights?)
Georgia - Portugal 1-0
As things stand, the R16 bracket is (in CAPS the confirmed teams
SPAIN - Georgia
GERMANY-DENMARK
PORTUGAL - Slovenia
FRANCE - BELGIUM
ROMANIA - Netherlands
AUSTRIA - Turkiye
ENGLAND - Slovakia
SWITZERLAND - ITALY

And Maikautadze doubles Georgia's lead from the penalty spot. Leads the golden boot race with three goals now
80 Czechia 1 - Turkey 1
Turkey need to start playing as if they have a man advantage. They’re giving Czechia too many chances.
That said Czechia are getting away with too much physical play which for
some reason the officials seem to be missing.
Is this a record for the amount of bench players / officials booked?
I’d rather the ref clamped down on Czech players fouling, you know, something that actually impacts the match?

Cenk Tosun finishes a 6 v 4 counterattack and wins it for Turkiye

I can tell you the Czech media are absolutely furious
with the refereeing, and not for the reasons you
enumerate.
