  • Who's going to win the World Cup then?

    The qualifiers start this weekend. Any predictions?

    Every World Cup played in North America so far has been won by a South American team. Does that mean it's going to be Argentina or Brazil or Uruguay in 2026?

    Probably not. It used to be "no European team has won a WC outside of
    Europe" then came Spain 2010. Then it was "no European team has won
    when it is hosted in the Americas" and then came Germany 2014. All
    these things end some time.
