    Not sure I can point at any particular resources - but my club has a fair amount of experience with keeping boats with damaged shoulders operational, so happy to share our experience.

    I am 71 years old and had a shoulder replacement several years ago. I don't know if I row properly, probably not, but my shoulder doesn't bother me at all. My knees bother me and they have both been replaced.

    Ah - apologies!!!! Then you probably wont like us to cut out the centre of the shoulder with a saw and chisel and rebuild it with carbon fibre.

    I'm also 71. I've had both hips replaced, happily. But I'm hoping to continue rowing with a shoulder, properly or improperly! B
