    For immediate release:

    Field Day is this weekend: Saturday, June 24 and Sunday, June 25, be
    ginning at 1800 UTC Saturday and running through 2059 UTC Sunday.

    RAC President Phil A. McBride, VA3QR, will be operating as VA3RAC 1B O
    NS from Meaford Memorial Park.

    He will be out again this year in the Southern Ontario area visiting sites
    and providing feedback on the RAC social media platforms so follow us on
    Twitter, Instagram and Facebook for #RACFD Field Day updates, or if y
    ou want to share your Field Day experience please include RAC on your soci
    al media posts.

    To provide RAC detailed information on your operations, please send you

    List of Canadian Sections for Field Day

    On January 1, 2023, RAC implemented changes to the Sections within the
    Field Organization.

    Below is a complete list of all Canadian Sections, and their Field Day d esignator:
    * Canadian Territories, which includes Northwest Territories, Yukon Te
    rritory and Nunavut Territory - TER
    * Newfoundland and Labrador – NL
    * Nova Scotia – NS
    * Prince Edward Island – PE
    * New Brunswick – NB
    * Quebec – QC
    * Manitoba – MB
    * Saskatchewan – SK
    * Alberta – AB
    * British Columbia – BC
    * Ontario is broken up into four sections that roughly follow the borders
    established by Emergency Management Ontario's sectors:
    + Golden Horseshoe - GH, which includes the Regions of Niagara, Hamilt on-Wentworth, Halton, York and Durham, as well as the Cities/Towns o
    f Caledon, Brampton, Mississauga and Toronto.
    + Ontario South - ONS, which includes the Counties/Regions of Simcoe,
    Muskoka, Grey, Dufferin, Wellington, Brant, Haldimand, Bruce
    , Huron, Perth, Oxford, Norfolk, Middlesex, Elgin, Lambton
    , Chatham-Kent and Essex.
    + Ontario East - ONE, which includes Counties/Regions of Haliburton, K
    awartha Lakes, Northumberland, Peterborough, Hastings, Prince Edwa
    rd, Renfrew, Lennox & Addington, Frontenac, Lanark, Ottawa-Carle
    ton, Leeds & Grenville, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry and Prescott &
    Russell.
    + Ontario North - ONN, which includes the Counties/Regions of Parry Soun
    d, Nippising, Manitoulin, Sudbury, Algoma, Timiskaming, Cochra
    ne, Thunder Bay, Rainy River and Kenora.

    ** Beyond CanWarn Q&A Event is tomorrow night ------------------------------------------------------------

    Radio Amateurs of Canada (RAC), the national association for Amateur Rad
    io in Canada, is pleased to present a special Q&A Live Event to close of
    f this year’s successful Weather Spotter training session.

    Date: Wednesday, June 28

    Time: 7 pm Eastern Time (US and Canada)

    Cost: There is no fee for this event.

    In this special online live, Zoom event, Geoff Coulson, Warning Prep
    aredness Meteorologist, and Jason Tremblay, RAC Community Services Off
    icer, will discuss a number of topics including:

    1) the current climate crisis

    2) El Niño effects for this year

    3) the adaptation of CanWarn and Beyond CanWarn training programs

    Following the presentation there will be a Question and Answer session wit
