For immediate release:
Field Day is this weekend: Saturday, June 24 and Sunday, June 25, be
ginning at 1800 UTC Saturday and running through 2059 UTC Sunday.
RAC President Phil McBride, VA3QR, will be operating as VA3RAC 1B ONS
from Meaford Memorial Park.
RAC Community Services Officer Jason Tremblay, VE3JXT – and not
Phil McBride, VA3QR as reported earlier – will be in the Southe
rn Ontario area visiting sites and providing feedback on the RAC social me
dia platforms.
** New RAC Field Day Ragchew: All are Welcome! ------------------------------------------------------------
RAC has scheduled two Google Meets and we invite participants to drop by a
nd talk about their Field Day operations and experiences during the event.

On January 1, 2023, RAC implemented changes to the Sections within the
Field Organization.
Below is a complete list of all Canadian Sections, and their Field Day d esignator. Please visit the following link for a table of Canadian Section
s with names of Section Managers and contact information.

Canadian Sections:
* Canadian Territories, which includes Northwest Territories, Yukon Te
rritory and Nunavut Territory – TER
* Newfoundland and Labrador – NL
* Nova Scotia – NS
* Prince Edward Island – PE
* New Brunswick – NB
* Quebec – QC
* Manitoba – MB
* Saskatchewan – SK
* Alberta – AB
* British Columbia – BC
* Ontario is broken up into four sections that roughly follow the borders
established by Emergency Management Ontario's sectors:
+ Golden Horseshoe – GH, which includes the Regions of Niagara
, Hamilton-Wentworth, Halton, York and Durham, as well as the Citi
es/Towns of Caledon, Brampton, Mississauga and Toronto.
+ Ontario South – ONS, which includes the Counties/Regions of Pa
rry Sound, Simcoe, Muskoka, Grey, Dufferin, Wellington, Brant
, Haldimand, Bruce, Huron, Perth, Oxford, Norfolk, Middlesex
, Elgin, Lambton, Chatham-Kent and Essex.
+ Ontario East – ONE, which includes Counties/Regions of Halibur
ton, Kawartha Lakes, Northumberland, Peterborough, Hastings, Pri
nce Edward, Renfrew, Lennox & Addington, Frontenac, Lanark, Otta
wa-Carleton, Leeds & Grenville, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry and Pre
scott & Russell.
+ Ontario North – ONN, which includes the Counties/Regions of Ni
ppising, Manitoulin, Sudbury, Algoma, Timiskaming, Cochrane, T
hunder Bay, Rainy River and Kenora.
