Proof reading isn't one of my strengths. I mistyped the name of the
Nebraska First Lady. It is corrected in this version. My apologies. *******************************************************************************************************
The ARRL Letter for November 23, 2022, included a great article about
the Dodge County ARES receiving the 2022 Disaster Volunteer Award from
the State of Nebraska. Because of their heroic efforts during the
Fremont flood in 2019, the Dodge County ARES received that award at the ServeNebraska Step Forward luncheon on November 4. The award was
presented by Nebraska First Lady Susanne Shore.
Vice Director Dave Propper, K2DP, and I would like to congratulate the
members of the Dodge County ARES. We are proud of what you
accomplished
and the important recognition you bring to amateur radio. Serving our communities in a time of need is perhaps the most important thing we
do.
I would also like to thank Dave Theophilus, W0NRW, for authoring the
press release about the event and for providing the photograph of the
ceremony that were used in the newsletter article. Dave also submitted
an article that was published in the November 19 issue of the Fremont
Tribune. Here's the link to the article:

It's Thanksgiving and we have a lot to be thankful for. I am most
honored to be thankful for having such committed and giving hams in the
Midwest Division.
I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving and a great time with your families.
