The IARU Region 1 is looking for ideas that could lead to more licensed
radio amateurs. Draft proposals are welcome by the 31 May. The best ideas
will be shared with the proposing teams so they can work on a more detailed project on 10 June. Details are on the website

Canadas amateur radio regulator has granted amateurs in Canada the right to
use special callsigns in honour of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee for the period of the 14 May to 14 July. For example, VE3 calls become VX3, VA7
becomes VG7 and so on. The special callsigns may also be used during the
