First, its an invalid call sign for US amateurs, based on the prefix. Even
if it were valid, that call sign format is reserved for Amateur Extra class operators, and the applicant holds a Technician class license.

SB QST ARL ARLB012 ARLB012 FCC Not Processing License Applications and Exam Session Files
The ARRL Volunteer Examiner Coordinator (VEC) reports that the FCC
Universal Licensing System (ULS) electronic batch filing (EBF) system has
been down since midday Tuesday, April 19, 2022, which is the day the FCC application fees became effective for amateur radio.
On Wednesday, in a notice to all VECs, the FCC asked them to refrain from submitting any session or application files while they work to resolve the issue.
ARRL VEC Manager Maria Somma, AB1FM, said the FCC did not estimate how long
the system would be down. Some applications were processed through the
system before the FCC notice was released to the VECs.
Applicants should expect delays with license and application processing.
ARRL VEC will provide an update when the FCC communicates that the filing system is back online. NNNN /EX submitted by /u/Tom-K1SSG

For programs like fldigi or wspr, the RF gain is in and out. For wspr, cant
get above -10db. RF gain dial is turned all the way up on the radio.

What is the best way to clean coaxial cable connector (n-type)?
Posted: 22 Apr 2022 01:15 PM PDT
https://www.reddit.com/r/amateurradio/comments/u9nn49/what_is_the_best_way_to_clean_coaxial_cable/
Last year I mounted a diamond super discone antenna on a pole and attached
a male-male n type cable (lmr-400). I didn’t get to mount it and stored it outside. The n type terminals now look a lot less clean than when new. What
is the best cleaner and technique to clean the cable terminals before I
mount the antenna and connect the cable to my radio?
Note: the inline lightning arrestor and all grounding contacts are fine
because they were covered with plastic, I only need to clean the male
n-type terminal. submitted by /u/SiliconOverdrive

Recommendations for a Radio Novice
Posted: 22 Apr 2022 11:01 AM PDT
https://www.reddit.com/r/amateurradio/comments/u9koz5/recommendations_for_a_radio_novice/
Hello, I was wondering if anyone in the community might have any recommendations for someone just getting into amateur radio. Any help would
be appreciated.
I dont have a radio yet but Id like a mobile and portable unit,
unfortunately a base station isnt an option at this time.
For phone apps (Android) I have Echo Link, Ham Radio Log, Ham Radio Tools, Hamsphere, pRxTx, Repeater Book, ISS Detector, and Skywave Schedules.
I think I like Orbitrack over ISS Detector (granted I havent used either), though from what Ive gathered the former hasnt seen an update in two years,
and theres been little activity from Southern Star (Orbitracks developer)
on social media in the same time.
Anyway, those items are the focus right now, but please dont limit anything shared to just the above. submitted by /u/KnivesSerra
