I need to buy a half-decent SW receiver that I can use for listening to
both broadcasting stations and CW amateur radio.
I am tempted by the Xhdata d-808, which has a 500hz narrow filter. I
wonder if there are any alternatives.

You really want to fine tune CW signals on a receiver with a 1 kHz step?

Morse should not be typed, therefore I have to ignore it. Why wouldn't
you bother writing your answer in plain English?
