I have cameras with similar textures and they're easily kept clean with
a very mild soapy solution on a soft cloth. Any 'harder' crud gets the alcohol, usually with Q-tip / toothpick in deeper nooks and crannies.
As to looks, it's a tool, and it looks like a very well designed tool at
that.
