• Odd camera problem cropped up

From RichA@21:1/5 to All on Sat Oct 29 15:38:54 2022
One of my Olympus bodies developed issues. Display would go black, AF ceased working, stabilization went haywire. I cleaned the lens/body contacts, did nothing. Then I noticed the lens was ever so slightly "tilty." Turns out, the four small screws
holding the lens mount to the camera body had worked loose. 1/4 turn re-tightened them. I believe it might have come from carrying a 50-200mm f/2.8-3.5 lens on the body, the weight of it jogged the screws loose.

I had a similar problem with the flash attachment.

There was also an issue (with some bodies) where the round strap eyelets (chrome plated brass) became loose or wore out. Both due to carrying large lenses. I much preferred slotted, integral strap holders like Pentax bodies had.

What Olympus model was it exactly?
