P2ña AKA Proprietress
Luko and Prince come in and delightedly get their galoshes and
such. All is PURRFECT!
They place an unusual order from a meowmie who has been getting
updates nightly.
"She would like something made from the Master Bamboo artist. Also
a long colorful necklace of beads with wood, stone, ceramic, or
mixed. I was thinking, if the jewelry box had no home yet, maybe a
local bead necklace in it? Length would hang to my lower chest on
me. Can we work with that?"
Luko nods and investigates, he sees a box up high, gathering dust
and brings it down then dusts it with his tail. It has the master's
mark on it. Doubtless made long ago on commission and the person
failed to pickup or pay. He pays the local storekeeper for it then
they bring both over with some local beads.
Investigating the Bootique, Prince sees many fine Jade beads, some
of them quite large. The local storekeeper comes over and notices
the chains of silver and gold.
"P2nya, shall we collaberate?" He brings over a tray of small
carved bamboo bead separators and some largish colorful wood beads
as well as pendents of various amimals.
Shur....lay owt the beads from small to large and back again to small.
Use this felt bead tray..then we can either .Shur....lay owt the

Use this felt bead tray..then we can either . either attach each
bead to the chainz, or hang them from the chainz…we can use seferal

other part of the clasp. Atta way, now a longer row, as menny as we
gneed to reach her lower chest.
P2nya, wondering how menny tunas to charge.
Luko counts the beads and notes the different prices from the local
seller and adds them up, then adds up the little carved animals. He
hands his tuna card over to the local shop keeper for 15 whole tunas
(25lbs each worth). Prince meantime adds up the costs of the 2 chains
(a very nice heavy one built string in a herringbone pattern with gold
clasps at 2tuna per foot) and asks if 10 whole tunas seems right? If
it covers labor to make and her design work too?
Luko sets the lovely bamboo box beside the table and checks the upper compartment. In it, are 6 slots about right for small earrings and one
longer one that might be perfect for a broache. He knows a meowmie
wears jackets to work and likes an ornament on them. He sees a small
box. Much transported, it is filled with Makau Nui fish bone carvings.
It is 2 tuna but he wants it on a pin so she can wear it on a lapel.
He knows she has 4 favorite earrings loose in a box and sees one more
that is very like a meowmie. They have a center post with a polished
bit of amber, set in a wood ring. For display, the post is in a dark
burnished wood but there is a light polished wood and a blue dyed wood
set. They will fit the remaining 2 earring compartments. Grinning, he proffurrs 5 tuna figuring Prince and he needed to add 1 more.
Prince says to Luko, "Why don't ypu go get breakfast? I can see they
are almost set up and I see a gift for you but want it to be a
surprise". Luko purrs and leaves.
Prince then selects a very manly sweater, just right for Luko. He
happens to know Luko is getting a lion cut Tuesday due to a skin issue
related to his lack of treatment when looking for a new home. It's not infectious, but can't be fixed until he gets shaved. The local shop
keeper wraps it in gift paper after applying a pin to the fish bone art
while as P2nya finishes the necklace.
The local shop keeper flips the sign to 'closed for breakfast' as they
finish up.
Prince proffurs the card and P2nya rings the charges. All is well and
both have made a nice profit while Prince and Luko still show a
positive balance of 3 tunas.
Prince takes the purchases back to the Elder's place and tucks them in
his bag, with Luko's gift at the bottom, then heads off to join them
for breakfast. He stops to sign the guest book on the way seeing many
have signed in already.
