[At a remote spot on Santa Catalina Island, off the coast of California,
all appears ready. A great number of locals of multiple species have
prepared a clearing, Oposssum, a mole, vultures, skunks, local kitties, rabbits, squirrels - all have turned a quiet, abandoned stretch of
ground into an idyllic wonder. A palm-roofed pavilion, a fire pit, a
bunch of soft pillows and blankets for critters who want to rest
comfortably, a portable kitchen and serving area off to one side - all
appears ready.

Kitties, doggies, and other guests have been arriving steadily, and are standing around meowing, napping on the cushions, catching up with
friends, and admiring the beauty.

A handsome but somewhat frail lynx-point Siamese kitty climbs to the top
of a boulder near the firepit, catching the attention of all present. To
either side stand older kitties who will be signing in ASL-C/D as Milton speaks.]

Good evening, my friends and loved ones. Thank you all for joining us at
this most solemn of occasions, the 2021 Jellicle Ball. For 26 years we
have been remembering our loved ones who had to leave, before we were
ready, for the Rainbow Bridge.The miraculous nature of this night, this enchanted full moon, allow sus to draw so much closer to our loved ones
at the Bridge.than on any other night,

We thank the residents of this beautiful place for opening their homes
to us, and for making us feel welcome. Knowing that we will make new
friends this night makes the occasion all the more special.

With hearts full of sorrow and abiding love, we treasure the memories
of the time they shared and the memories which are forever ours.
Much richer for having known and loved, much better for the lessons
learned, we smile despite our grief.

As always, the first name called represents those whose names we did
not know, those lost or tossed, taken through illness or abuse or
nature's fury.

We stand in silent thought, and send our hopes that they have found
peace and love at last.

Luko looks at the time and realizes, it has fled and now is the ball.
He catches up and translates all to ASL C/D making sure Sammy and known
others can see him. Pepe And Gigi help out he thinks but he can't see
them from where he is.

Then he sits back. It is many names. He has a much furled bit of
paper in his pocket, but in his mind, he knows somehow Prince had a
good journey. He stops to think which would have made him feel best.
Then he knows.

Slowly, he joins the line to speak.
