All I can say is I have a friend who has had wolfs for many years, 6

are raised from pups.
Sorry, but you've missed a very basic genetic point in quoting these >stats, thereby invalidating my belief in what you know about hybrids.
You CANNOT estimate percentages of blood unless it's a first mating ,
and then it's 50/50 percent.
Think about it. Are you 75% something, and maybe 11% something else,
so on and so on......?
Terri
WHO CARES!!!
Obviously I do or I wouldn't have mentioned it.
You are the one who has missed the point which is just
because they have wolf blood does not dictate how they will turn out
later in thier lives.
If my point was to comment on how they turn out, I would have
mentioned.
MY point, which you missed yourself, was your genetic percentage
statement.
The percentages I stated were told to me by
thier owners who obtained them from a breeder who has bred that
bloodline for many, many generations.
So what? Is the breeder a genetisist? Scientist? Read any books on
genetics?
Do you really think that
everyone is just going to stop because you disapprove?
You have a problem surmising information you read, don't you?
Did I SAY I disapprove? No. I SAID, I your genetic percentages
were wrong and invalid.
If you want to
get technical, all domestic dogs of today come from wild dog origin.
This is not technical, and it doesnt matter a wit, because today's
dogs are domesticated.
Did you think that the first canines to walk the earth were
domesticated?
Uh, obviously not.
However, you have the right to your opinion just like
everyone else.
Why ,thank you very much for granting me that priviledge!
This forum,a public educational newsgroup, I wasn't sure I
had that right.
Do you really think I care that I am "invalidating your
belief in what I know about hybrids".
Uh, obviously not.
I was just stating fact from my
own personal experiences with the 6 wolfs mentioned above.
Which is why I questioned your statement; it was NOT a fact.
They are incorrect and do not hinge on personal experience and
6 wolves. Genetics is based on science & facts, not
personal experience.
This newsgroup is intended to educate a lot of others besides
yourself. Did it ever occur to you that someone may believe
your statement, thus perpetuating further myths?
