AI ... isn't. Intelligence, that is, artificial or otherwise.
It's simulated intelligence. Simulated more or less badly.
Sometimes seems to give intelligent responses, but prone
to wildly ridiculous outputs, like the Google AI recommending
drinking urine, or the A"I" generated scientific papers and
legal briefs that had entirely fictitious references.
On the whole, there's no more intelligence there than in
the old 1970s vintage Eliza program. It's just more elaborate.
