  • How do you pronounce Motian?

    I was Paul Motians girlfriend in the 50s. He pronounced it Mo-ti-an. 3 .syllables. We lived together with Bill Evans on the upper west side .Bill was very insecure about his playing . And didn’t smoke a joint before 5pm. Lots of jam sessions in his
    tiny apartment. Ah, the good old days.
