Since a recent thread concerned the Bruno Walter Complete Columbia Album Collection, I note that I’ve just posted a new Classicalnotes survey of his remarkable career, with emphasis on his European 78s and NBC concerts that often are slighted orignored. It’s at: http://www.classicalnotes.net/features/walter.html. In my view no other conductor on record has displayed such a startling evolution of interpretive outlook. I welcome corrections and (ahem) constructive comments.
