La comparsa

From Andy Evans@21:1/5 to All on Sun Oct 23 07:31:38 2022

A little latin gem, this tune has misleading syncopations. Kind of semi-classical it has been recorded by Daniel Barenboim, Katia Labeque and others.

Here are two versions I like
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TxA8ZIHUCCQ Edmundo Ros https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wdFEtnvC7i8 Rene Izquierdo Guitar

And the original piano version by Lecuona: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZqOUBNkGvR8

I regard Lecuona as within the broad ambit of classical music
Ros was a very good bandleader
