Tolerable rockabilly (from someone who can't tolerate a lot of it).

I thought you might kinda like it, unless I reading too much into tolerable.

This is probably my favorite non-Elvii rockabilly.

Can you 'tolerate' this one ?

    And question for the experts...

He's Frankie Stewart on this label. Was this a later re-release ?

    -------------
I can tolerate it, meaning I won't run out of the room screaming, but I
    don't *like* it.

People say Carl Perkins' records--most of which I LOVE--are rockabilly.
To me, they have almost nothing in common with the crude, garage-type
sound of rockabilly. I think they're pure rock & roll. I feel pretty
much the same way about Johnny Burnette Rock & Roll Trio. It's not
    Rockabilly Trio, is it?

A few rockabilly records I actually like: "Flying Saucer Rock & Roll"
by Billy Riley. "When You Come Around" by Charlie Feathers (and the Marigolds). "Rhythm Feet" by Carroll Wild Red Pegues. "Rock & Roll
Ruby" by Warren Smith, and the demo of the same by Johnny Cash. "Where
The Rio De Rosa Flows" by 'Jimmy Lloyd.' "Three Alley Cats" by Roy
Hall. "Hot Dog" by 'Corky Jones.'

And for whatever stupid reason I love hearing the phrase Where The Rio

Yes, me too. I think the original version is better, myself.
