So Bruce...what's the thing on the Acorn & Regent subsids? I know the

was booted big time in 1976 on Acorn label)

    5. Heart And Soul Four Buddies 1951

Best version of this by a lot IMO.

    8. Wedding Boogie Johnny Otis/Little Esther/Mel Walker 1950
    9. Cupid’s Boogie Little Esther & Mel Walker 1950

I'm not that big on these two.

    10. There Ain’t No Use Beggin’ Robins 1950

    Love this, Ink Spots style.

    11. Turkey Hop-Part 1 Robins 1950

    Which side is mostly instrumental?

    17. I Will Wait Four Buddies 1950

Surprised a record collector like you did not list this as by the Four
    Buds!

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x13803yVSGw

    20. That Man Nappy Brown 1954

His first solo record, this was the B side. The A side "Is It True, Is
It True" was a regional R&B Hit. I have it as reaching #6 in Cincinnati
    in late 1954.

    21. So Much Trouble Brownie McGhee 1952

Strong one that I first heard by George Thorogood.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G55_y0bjc_Y

    24. I Wanna Know Dolly Cooper 1953
Better than the Du Droppers version IMO.

    25. Down In New Orleans Big Mike 1955

The other side is the side for me. From your video:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uJ_4aaAMEO8

I've been waiting for this. Gives me an excuse to make my Savoy list
longer than the 10 that I played on Lew Rallo's show that time. I see
that my top record on the label did not even make you list, "Move Baby
    Move" by Larry Harrison.

You don't have to be an active record collector to remain a record
collector. Even if you haven't added anything to your collection in 30
years, you can still be a record collector.

No no this is getting ridiculous

You seem to have some fetish in constantly describing me as a "record collector" and then ascribing to me all the various things that a
collector should or should not do.

I will decide whether I'm a collector or not--not you and not anybody
    else.

I began to accrue a substantial collection of favorite records in the
60's but have not added much to it in several following decades and in
recent years have sold off a very substantial part of my collection.
Therefore by anyone's measure the word "collector" in the current
situation does not apply and the person who decides that is me.

OK glad to put you right on that point,no problem

Okay, based on what you described I agree that you are no longer a
record collector, but you still subscribe to lots of record collector
beliefs, such as making the Battles only about singles. Only record
collectors care about what format a song was issued on and only record collectors separate songs on singles from songs only on albums.

And I don't agree that only the person being labeled gets to decide if
that label is correct or not. If that were true then Trump would get to
decide whether or not he is a narcissist and nobody else's opinion would matter.

the 7's and up and there are over 100 already. Only 2 tens and 6 nines
for me, but a shitload of 8s and 7s.

Yes I know exactly what you mean. I'm still working on the latest list
but already its getting overwhelming and that's just with 10's,9's and
    8's!!

Okay, I went through the entire Savoy catalog and found a few more that
I had missed. I think I'm ready to start putting all of the 8s in order.

There are two eights already in the top 10, and I found 42 other 8's, so
when I post the list here it will be a top 52.

Did you not consider "White Christmas" and "Silent Night" by the Ravens,
or did they just not make the list?

I did not consider them or the Baby Face songs that were reissues from
    like 1950 on another label.

Still my biggest want is "New Baseball Boogie" by Brownie McGhee. Not
sure how I would rate it, I've only heard like 15 seconds of it in the
    Ken Burns Baseball thing.
