But I see no qualifier on your list about it only being for releases
from certain years. It says "ATCO LABEL FAVORITES" so your title needs
    to be more accurate!

It should not be necessary to have any time period "qualifier" on these
lists since the name of the group it is posted in is "rec.music.rock-pop-r+b.1950s" and since (by popular consent) we
generally discuss music from the period late 40's to 1963.

If material from later years was acceptable in these lists THEN the
subject title here would reflect it

The subject title says 1950s. I have been here 26 years now and I never
was asked about whether or not we should include things from before 1950
and after 1963. In fact if I was asked my cutoff would be 1962, not 1963
when the Beatles, Beach Boys and Bob Dylan were huge acts in much of the
world already. I never saw any poll or discussion on this subject. In
fact, if it was discussed before I was here, I think that should be
revisited by now. Probably half or more of the people from back then are
either dead or not active here anymore.

But a label is a label. Atlantic doesn't stop being Atlantic at a
certain point. Even you ran a 1964 battle of singles in this group, so
why wouldn't 1964 releases on these labels be on your lists?

All true but the 1964 Battle was undertaken by "common consent" and any
other time I've personally gone outside the recognized time period of
this group then the post has "OT....." attached to it so that people
know music from outside our regular period will be featured.

OT posts many times don't even mention music. They can be about
    anything.

By the way, is it really worth doing a post of your favorites of a
certain label when 16 of the 25 items you list are all by the same
    artist?

I think your list some of the major labels would be more interesting
than your Atco list with 16 Coasters sides.

Here is my Columbia list, just USA Columbia, no subsidiaries, no era restrictions.
